NEWS LETTER FOR April & May 2016

Pame School Visit:

 

Rebecca Onken, a 20 years old girl from Germany, volunteered at the KETAAKETI SPOWC Free School .The students enjoy her dance and regular class a lot. We (one of the staff of SPOWC, Pragya and Rebecca) visited the school Shree Pame pre-primary at Pokhara. The students, as well as the staff, are very happy about the warm clothes and other necessary education materials provided by KETAAKETI/SPOWC.


New Session Starts 2016:

 

The Final terminal examination was held and distributed student’s report cards, including the results of each terminal. All the students were upgraded with good marks and the new session of school started.


Microfinance:

 

In Goldhunga, Microfinance projects are developing in a great way. Different types of projects, such as little shops for daily needed articles or the production of furniture, made out of bamboo, animal husbandry are taking place. After some time, depending on the development of the business, the women can start new business too and be independent with their own project.


Regular Classes and Day Meal:

The classes at the KETAAKETI SPOWC Free School started and going on routinely and the teachers do their best to provide the best possible education to the students every day.
After three periods, a hot lunch is cooked for students every day. The students’ families are very happy about the effort that is made for their children to be kept healthy and educated on a daily basis.
